Poricy Park Conservancy announces new technology workshops, T30: Teens Take Tech Outside for youth ages 13-18 during May, 2013.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teen who...
- enjoy learning new ways to use modern technology
- has an interest in environmental science and/or local history
- would like to spend more time outdoors
- welcomes new challenges, like geocaching
Participants will learn how to use GPS handheld devices and tablet technology to explore and investigate the natural environment and history of Poricy Park. At the end of a session(s), participants will create a short, informational team blog of their workshop experience. Upon completion of the workshop, they will also receive certification confirming their experience.
The Spring sessions will be held on Saturday, May 11, 10am-4pm, or Wednesdays, May 1 & 8, 3:30pm-6:30pm. Price of workshop per participant is $10.00. Spaces are limited so register early.

Poricy Park Conservancy is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization located at 345 Oak Hill Road, Middletown Township, NJ. All community and summer camp programs are run by Poricy Park Conservancy. With exceptional ecological resources, the 250 acre historical and nature site makes it one of the largest parks in Monmouth County.
