The Middletown 350 Committee will hold a dedication ceremony at Anniversary Plaza on Friday, June 19th at 9am. The plaza, which marks the spot where a time capsule was buried in celebration of the township’s founding in 1664, is located at Middletown Arts Center, 36 Church Street. The capsule was buried after the Middletown 350 parade on June 21, 2014 and is scheduled to be opened in 2064. The plaza includes engraved bricks donated by local families and well-wishers, benches and a commemorative plaque. This permanent commemoration was completed with help from Whirl Construction and Marturano Recreation. The Middletown Arts Center is accepting donations to add personalized bricks to the plaza. A portion of your donation will help the Middletown Arts Council continue its mission of bringing enriching arts programming to the community. Call 732-671-4100 for more information.
